Putri Ayunda

To me, she is like a phoenix that rises from the ashes. Grows stronger. She is Aradhana Putri.

I was a dancer. My hobby is listening to music. In short, I had the youngsters’ style.

After I finished SMEA (vocational school), I looked for a scholarship, sold cookies, cleaned houses, all to finance my diploma education. I had to go to college. After I got my diploma, I worked at one of Pertamina’s subsidiaries. The salary was not bad. My life was full of style.

Then I met him. A national basketball athlete, quite famous too. We realized we could not spend our lives partying the whole time. We decided to Hijrah, tried to lead a more Islamic way of life. We got married, I was 22 years of age. I resigned from Pertamina and started my own business with my husband.

Life is unpredictable, indeed. My husband remarried. I was forced to accept the polygamy. I was still 24 years of age. Two years later, my husband remarried again for the third time. Each marriage was without my consent. I was always the last to know.

I was devastated. Broken. But I tried to be sincere. I am sure there will be ibroh, hidden wisdom and blessings. I stood by my position no matter how hard it was until I could not take it anymore. I received talak. I was divorced. Oh well, I accepted it as my destiny.

I have to get up again. I have to be strong. If other people can do it, I can do it too. I have to fight.

Life as a single parent with 2 kids, 4 and 2 years of age, is not easy. I did whatever I could find. Until a year ago, I was accepted in Tempo Institute. I was a bit worried, what if they would not let me wear gamis (Islamic robe). But turned out it was okay. As long as I work well, there would be no issue. I am so grateful to find a family in Tempo Institute.

In the last three years, I started to learn makeup. I have always loved putting on make-up, I was a dancer, remember? I learned from my mother’s friend who was the make-up artist for Krisdayanti.

Now, on the weekend I often received orders to do bridal make-up. I am so happy. I can help others. Often my clients have no money, but it’s okay. I was in a difficult situation too once, I would help as much as I can.

I want to raise both of my children, now they are 7 and 5 years of age. Hopefully, both will grow strong and appreciative to their partners.
